When does a friend become a “good friend”? Is it when you do amazing things like bless him with the worst bout of chicken pox ever? Ask Ron, my long-time friend from when we were about 7 years old. Every time we run into each other, Ron never fails to remind me how “lucky” he was to receive my gift that kept on giving him bump designs on his arms and legs.
Before last year I hadn't seen him for about 10 years. Here is the story on how we became reunited after all those years....
March of last year, my collegiate partner in crime, her hubby, and their associate. We hung out at our old college campus. We began to make our gatherings a more common entity in our lives, meeting up a few days out of the week. One day we convened at my house: the associate, my college best friend, her husband, and I were present and accounted for. My mom was also there and I introduced the associate to her. The more the two of them conversed, the more they would realize that they knew each other. All of a sudden…OMG! WE FIGURED OUT WHO HE WAS. Good ol’ Ron had everyone screaming in shock. I still can’t believe I spent so much time with this man, about two months’ worth, and never realized who he was!
Ron contacted me a few weeks ago, to book a session for head shots. We scheduled it for a date this past August. My sister and I met up with him, his girlfriend and his beautiful mom who I’ve missed so much! Sadly, the session was rescheduled because Mother Nature had other plans, rain. On the day of the rescheduled session we all met up again, only this time my husband assisted me instead of my sister as she had to go to class.
Thank you, Ron for allowing me to be your photographer. Best wishes on your budding acting career, and here’s to your star on the Walk of Fame.
