Class of 2013 Senior Model Program

Victoria Peach Designs is going to need models for class of 2013. If interested please read info below. Under 18 must have parent permission to apply.

Models will receive:​
-2 Free Sessions (1 before school begins or during the beginning of school and the other is scheduled for later in the school year. The 2nd session is only free if 2 or more referrals are made otherwise there is a session fee of $50.)
-Free prints for each session (2 8x10 prints to be received once 1st referral is 
received)
-Model rep cards to hand out with an incentive for others to book a session
-Digital images in low resolution to show off on your facebook page
-Rewards for each referral
-15% off prints & products
-15% off senior event photography


​Rewards:
To receive rewards, referrals must book, pay for, and complete a photography session with Victoria Peach Designs using your name as a referral source. Credits for referrals start as soon as you sign on.

-For every person/group you refer, you will receive a $10 credit towards your print order & $5 cash
-After 8 referrals, you will receive a free 10x20 storyboard and the credit per 
referral goes up to $20
-After 16 referrals, you will receive $150 towards your print order
-After 24 referrals, you will receive a CD of your images in high resolution with print release (10 image max)

We are looking for male and female (& twins if possible) models of all ages. Race and Body Type do not matter.
​Requirements:
-Must love being photographed
-Must live in the Houston, TX area or be willing to travel to the Houston, TX area
-Model (or parent of model) must have a Facebook Profile. We communicate with our 
models via Facebook. Request Victoria Peach as a friend if you haven't already
-Must be a fan of Victoria Peach Designs on Facebook
-Must not represent any other Photography Studio
-Pay a $50 commitment fee if you are accepted (I only want people who are serious!) This will be used toward your print order. This payment will be due by October 15, 2012.
-Minors: Make sure your parents/guardians know you are applying and you have their permission. When we schedule an interview with you, at least one of your 
parents/guardians will need to attend as well.

IMPORTANT: What the Model Program is NOT
Our model program is not one of those programs where you pay us money, and we promise you exposure and try to get you into modeling agencies. We do not “market” you to anyone. We cannot promise you and will not solicit modeling jobs for you with any other agency or any other photographer.

While our model program will not market you as a model to anyone, if you wish to break into modeling, you can certainly list your time with us on your resume, and you can also purchase headshot packages from us as well that give you images to place in your portfolio.

If what you are looking for is a program to market you as a model to agencies or other businesses, this is not it.

Model Spotlight | Maria Vaughn

This was our first time working with Maria. She is one of the friends of the Ice Princess of our Fire & Ice Session featured in our Vintage Winter Photography Series. Her personality at the meetings and during the shoot brought laughter and excitement! We are very thankful to have met her and worked with her on this project!

Model Maria Vaughn Interview

Q: Why did you begin modeling?

A: I always wanted to try something new so my big sister, Glynnis, went to the mall and she signed me up for Willamina. When they said they wanted me I started taking it a little more serious. I was 13 at the time and living in San Diego, CA.

Q: What is your modeling inspiration?

A: I really think everything is my inspiration... from models to clothes to a piece of art. I love the inspiration from nature mostly because we can blend in so well. 

Q: What is your favorite type of modeling? 

A: The type of modeling I love to do is story line where the photos tell a story. I also like artistic art from nude to alter egos and on to everyday life. Its more fun and a challenge for the team. And when I say team I mean MUA, photographer, hair stylist, and wardrobe stylist. 

Q: What are your modeling goals?

A: I want to make this more of an experience than a goal. Like Tyra Banks said "Modeling is just a stepping stone. To succeed is what you really want." and I stay true to that. I dont want it to be just my life because I love dancing and working with kids. It will come to a point where I want to gain weight and spend my life with a guy that I want and start a family. I want to be that one model that's amazing at what I do but leaving people wanting more.

Q: What are your hobbies and interests? 

A: I work with kids and my hobbies are doing hair, writing songs, and poetry . It's been a while but I still love doing it and my interest are learning everything so when I'm on a budget I can make it myself.  

Q: Is modeling your profession or a hobby?

A: Modeling is more of a hobby than a profession for me. It's fun and gives a lot of artistic mind too.  

Q: Tell us a little about your family.

A: I'm half black and Panamanian. My father is Cherokee and my great grand father is a white Jamaican lol so me and my family are very loud, crazy and caring. My dad is the goofy one and my mom is too. Love family gatherings and I love my family period. We all have our flaws but we still share our love for each other. 

Q: What was your first time modeling and how did it go?

A: My first time modeling was really when I came to Houston. There was a lot that I had to learn because I was just a dancer and had the dancer stance and posture. So they had to break me out of it and it got more comfortable.

Q: How was your experience with the Vintage Winter Photography Series 2012 by Victoria Peach Designs? What was your favorite part of working on the series?
A: I enjoyed every moment working on this project. She has amazing mind for story lines and she knew what she wanted. My favorite part was seeing how everyone helped and enjoying each others company.  

Q: How was it working with the photographer, Victoria Peach, and would you work with her again?
A: I will most definitely work with her again because she's really nice and straight to the point. I really like that about her.

Models are not just models. We invest in our lives and were not perfect but it's just a photo that's doing it's job. 

Isiah + Karina | Senior Prom

I received the pleasure of photographing my brother and his beautiful girlfriend for their senior prom this year. I am so in love with how gorgeous Karina's dress is! The flowing ruffles went so well with this windy day and tight curls were a bonus! They were so comfortable in front of the camera, all I had to do was use my skill. Normally I would have to come up with posing, but with them everything came so naturally.

Model Spotlight | Kay Nate

Kay is one of our favorite models to work with!!! We were there when she was first introduced to the modeling world and we have and will continue to support her in her future endeavors!!!

She is the Ice Princess of our Fire & Ice Session featured in our Vintage Winter Photography Series. Her work with the Fire Prince, Alex, was spectacular and we're so grateful she chose to work with us on this project.

Model Kay Nate Interview

Q: Why did you begin modeling?
A: I enjoy taking pictures and Victoria is a close friend. She would have a vision and ask me to be her model or I would volunteer!

Q: What are your modeling goals?
A: In the future, I would love to walk the runway more. I love being photographed and would like to do something with advertising as well.

Q: What are your hobbies and interests?
A: Shopping is a joy of course! I really like watching movies and spending time with my family.

Q: Is modeling your profession or a hobby?
A: Modeling is definitely a hobby. It's a time to learn something new and do something different.

Q: Tell us a little about your family.
A: I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter.

Q: What was your first time modeling and how did it go? Did you enjoy it? How have you grown since then?
A: My first official photo shoot was with Victoria Peach Designs and it was a shoot with my younger sister. She allowed us to freestyle and then critiqued us. I have learned more about posing, and I have had the opportunity to walk in a few fashion shows.

Q: How was your experience with the Vintage Winter Photography Series 2012 by Victoria Peach Designs? What was your favorite part of working on the series?
A: Working on the Vintage Winter Photography Series was lots of fun. My group was very involved and offered ideas for the story. The best part was the day of the photo shoot!!

Q: How was it working with the photographer, Victoria Peach, and would you work with her again?
A: Victoria is a great person to be around and she allows you to give input on the project.

This year we had the privilege of creating a custom designed accordion card for a male senior which is really rare as the guys normally go for the simple standard products. We've received such great feedback on this design alone from local clients so we decided to share it with our online followers :)
